New Digs | First Quarter 2017

I've been slow to bring home records to start the year. I'd like to think I've started to become a bit more selective, but the truth is I've just been too busy to look. I HAVE been clicking 45's off the ol' ebay watch list, so stay tuned as I'm sure I'll be sharing some of them soon. Here's a quick look at what has caught my eye. Some limited edition new releases and a handful of quality used sounds have found a home with me.

Happy hunting!

New Digs | Early July 2015

Well, it has happened. I have abandoned cd's almost completely and am now buying new albums I enjoy on vinyl. It was bound to happen. Since my last move when my cd's hit the storage and are now completely out of sight, I don't even consider the reflective format. I've become less impulsive with new music (I save that urge for used records) as I allow myself time to listen and grow with new music on Spotify. That way I can invest in what I personally deem to have staying power. I did take a chance with both the Leon Bridges and Curtis Harding records below, but felt confident on hype coupled with solid record shop recommendation that a vinyl purchase was in order. Peep the rest of my haul below.

Jamie xx - In Colour (Young Turks, 2015) <--- Limited Edition 3 Lp Pressing

Curtis Harding - Soul Power (Burger Records, 2014)

The Heliocentrics - Out There (Now-Again Records, 2007)

Charles Bradley - No Time For Dreaming (Dunham, 2011)

Charles Bradley - Victim Of Love (Dunham, 2013)

Third Coast Kings - East Grand Boulevard (Record Kicks, 2014)

Run The Jewels - Run The Jewels 1 (Mass Appeal, 2013)

Run The Jewels - Run The Jewles 2 (Mass Appeal, 2014)

The Sure Fire Soul Ensemble - S/T (Colemine, 2015)

Leon Bridges - Coming Home (Columbia, 2015)
