New Digs | November 2017

Lp's have continued to take a bake seat with to my renewed focus on 45's - but that doesn't mean I'm still not drifting over for a topline forage while in my usual spots. Some killer longtime wants have finally popped up piqued my interest as of late. It's almost as if the record Godz are reminding me that treasures are still to be found and will be here when I come back to the "heavy" side. Here's a rundown of some of the gently used tunes I've brought home over the last month.

---

Rufus Thomas - Did You Heard Me? (Stax, 1972)

Charles Earland - The Dynamite Brothers (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (Prestige, 1974)

General Crook - S/T (Wand, 1974)

Betsy Legg - Betsy (BCG Records, 1971)

Tony Joe White - Tony Joe (Monument, 1970)

Dee Felice Trio - In Heat (Bethlehem, 1969)

New Digs | Late April 2016

I'm supposed to be on a self-imposed buying hiatus... But I keep having lapses. My lack of discipline has been rewarded with some amazing records - super clean Prestige gems, can't miss Stax OG's, Latin heat, killer psych bombs, and clean classical jazz guitar sounds are all too tempting too pass on. Let's try again, starting today :)

Here's the latest haul:

---

Booker T. & The M.G.'s - Soul Dressing (Stax, 1965)

Mel Brown - Chicken Fat (Impulse, 1967)

Arnett Cobb - Smooth Sailing (Prestige, 1959)

White Noise - An Electric Storm (Island, 1969)

Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis - Cookbook (Prestige, 1958)

Rufus Thomas - Walking The Dog (Stax, 1963)

Charlie Byrd - Latin Impressions (Riverside, 1962)

Johnny Smith - The Man With The Blue Guitar (Roost, 1962)
