Mad Men | Jessica Pare - "Zou Bisou Bisou"
I just have to share this cool piece of wax as it ties-in with one of my favorite shows, the wildly popular AMC series Mad Men. In season five's opening episode, Megan Draper memorably serenades Don Draper at his surprise 40th birthday party with her saucy rendition of the 60's French pop staple “Zou Bisou, Bisou”. Actress Jessica Pare actually recorded the song and the shows producers decided to release this 7” (that oddly plays at 33 rpm) as a fitting collectible for the show's fans. The B-side features the shows opening theme, in it's original extended instrumental form, as performed by RJD2 and Aceyalone. I always wondered if Aceyalone gets any credit for his involvement with the theme, and it's nice to see his name on the credits. Get your copy here, in red or black vinyl.
