The Velvet Underground & Nico - S/T (Verve, 1967)
Finally found a solid, affordable copy of this classic. The record sounds just as cool as I always imagined.
-
The Cocteau Twins - Garlands (4AD, 1982)
I get a major late pass on this record. The Cocteau Twins have been recommended to me by friends and fellow music friends forever... But just like anything else, I have to be ready for new sounds on my own accord. Really feeling this and can totally trace the sounds of some of my favorite bands back to this origin.
-
The Mar-Keys - Damifiknow! (Stax, 1969)
I never hesitate to cop an OG Volt/Stax record that I have yet to bring home. I'm glad to finally land a copy of this on vinyl!
-
Eddie Kendricks - People... Hold On! (Tamla, 1972)
One of my favorite records for sure. Anyone wanna trade? I'm still looking for a clean copy of Maggot Brain... just sayin'!
-
Chi-Lites - S/T (Brunswick, 1973)
I THOUGHT I was minting up my copy of Half A Love, except when I got home, I realized I brought home the wrong record. Still nice to have doubles though...
-
King Harvest - Dancing In The Moonlight (Perception, 1972)
We used a cut from this on the Mrs. Sidebottom Hits Rock Bottom mix, and I needed my own copy :)
-
The Jimmy Castor Bunch - E-Man Groovin' (Atlantic, 1976)
Worth a purchase for the cover alone.
-
Lyn Collins - Check Me Out If You Don't Know Me By Now (People, 1975)
This was the first time I've seen an original pressing of this record, and it was a no-brainer to add to the stack. Good condition too. Now, I'm off to find her first solo...
-
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead (Rough Trade, 1986)
I had to pay a bit, but still nice to have an original pressing.
