New Digs | December 2014

I've been a busy dude this Holiday season. Between traveling a bit for work, actually doing work, and celebrating throughout the month with friends and family, it's all been a blur. Despite my hectic schedule, I still found some time to eek in a few record perusing adventures... just haven't found the time to document here. Since there are so many records of note this month, I'm only posting a rundown. No blurbs this time. Trust that with some of these Lp's I thought I'd never find a copy in the wild - and I'm super pumped to have finally found them! A few of the others, I didn't even know existed. I'm glad to add them all to my sonic vocabulary. Happy hunting!

New Digs | Late March 2014 (Part 1)

It's been a busy month around here, but I still found some time to bring home a wide range of new sounds. I know it's already April, but most of these I tracked down last month. Of the lot, I'd say my favorites (so far) might be Marlena Shaw's The Spice of Life and the jazz-funk burner from Profile, Sands of Time. Peep the rest of the new additions above and below. Part 2 still to come...

Houston - S/T (SSS international, 1971)

Marlena Shaw - The Spice Of Life (Cadet, 1969)

Mavis Staples - S/T (Volt, 1969)

Watchpocket - S/T (TMI Records, 1972)
